Job Title: FundraiserLocation: Remote (with occasional travel as needed.)The Space Force Association (SFA) is the premier professional organization dedicated to supporting the U.S. Space Force, promoting the development of space policy, research, and innovation. Our mission is to advance space power through advocacy, education, and collaboration with government, industry, and academia. We are seeking a passionate and driven Fundraiser to help fuel this mission and expand our impact.Position Summary: The Fundraiser will play a pivotal role in driving the financial growth and sustainability of SFA. This individual will develop and implement creative fundraising strategies to engage donors, sponsors, and corporate partners. Working closely with leadership, the Fundraiser will cultivate relationships, identify grant opportunities, and manage events to achieve revenue targets that support the organizations mission.Key Responsibilities: Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential donors, sponsors, and partners.Develop and execute tailored donor engagement plans to ensure long-term support and retention.Maintain a database of donors and provide regular updates, reports, and thank-you communications.Fundraising Campaigns: Design, implement, and manage fundraising campaigns, including major gifts, online giving, peer-to-peer fundraising, and membership drives.Develop compelling appeals and marketing materials to promote giving.Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize the visibility of campaigns through social media, email, and digital platforms.Corporate Partnerships and Sponsorships: Identify and cultivate strategic corporate partnerships.Develop sponsorship packages for events, initiatives, and programs.Coordinate sponsorship activations and ensure sponsors receive proper recognition and deliverables.Reporting and Analysis: Track and analyze fundraising performance metrics.Prepare progress reports for leadership and board members.Use data to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies as needed.Required: Bachelors degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field.3+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or business development.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills.Preferred: Experience working with military-affiliated or space-related organizations.Familiarity with nonprofit financial management and donor stewardship best practices.Key Competencies: Collaboration: Work effectively with internal teams, board members, and external partners.Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic environment and adjust to evolving organizational priorities.Creativity: Develop innovative strategies for engaging donors and supporters.Passion: Demonstrate commitment to SFAs mission of advancing space power.Work Environment: Flexible working arrangements with the ability to travel for donor meetings, events, and conferences as needed.Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
